K&K Fashions wanted to take their expanding retail chain online, with fully integrated webstore.
K&K Fashions saw the value of being online and needed a company that would deliver a high end webstore to add to their expanding chain. K&K Fashions are not just any old “plus sized” retailer – they have a strong focus on delivering the latest trends in fashion in a large array of sizes, and needed a webstore that would both deliver this message and encourage online sales.
As K&K Fashions have very strong product shots and images Solutionists and K&K decided to go with a clean simple design in order to best showcase the product. The layout and functionality was very important in this design as K&K’s target audience contained a mix of both tech-savvy and not-so-tech savvy consumers. To cater for this we built an extremely user friendly navigation and created category and filter functionality that allows customers to find they want quickly and easily. Customers who may not want to buy online/want to try something on first can also see which stores have a particular size/colour combo in stock.
K&K Fashions wanted their webstore to act and behave exactly like their other retail stores. In order to achieve this we integrated their webstore with their POS system, Island Pacific. The integration ensures that all stock information is automatically updated and reflected accurately on the website. An advanced promotional module was built into the K&K Fashions website to ensure the webstore could run identical promotions to those running in store, such as “Buy 1 top, Get 1 free”, or “All knitwear $59.95”. K&K also took their loyalty system online, allowing customers to check their loyalty status on the website, and have online sales contribute to their loyalty points just as if they had purchased in store. Other functionality includes an interactive lookbook module which acts as a merchandising tool and can up sell to customers by showing them how to pair products to create an outfit. Each “look” photo has clickable hotspots on the separate products, allowing the customer to click straight through to the product page of an item that they like for an easy sale.
K&K Fashion’s online sales began as soon as they launched their new webstore and with plans to further leverage their site’s capabilities in the future these are only due to increase.
