Mi Piaci needed an eretail website, that would deliver online sales and high fashion, boutique branding.
Mi Piaci saw a business opportunity in online sales and wanted to take it. They had an online presence with a branding website, and wanted to take this to the next step by converting their browsers into buyers. Mi Piaci leveraged an exisiting Solutionists multi-site license order to create a new site that produced better branding and higher revenue.
As Mi Piaci have quite an exclusive, boutique feel to their brand they needed a website that didn’t feel too commercial, but without compromising their sales. Solutionists worked closely together with Mi Piaci to achieve this – Mi Piaci delivered the design work and Solutionists guided the design in terms of functionality and usability, resulting in a unique website which reflected the Mi Piaci brand while still guiding customers to make online sales. Mi Piaci also needed to be able to advertise promotions in a way that tied in with the unique feel of their website. They opted for a custom made design feature which allowed them to swap out sale banners in the middle of their product pages, adding a point of difference to their merchandising.
Another custom feature included in the Mi Piaci webstore was the Gift Card creator – opening up another stream of online revenue. The gift card page allows users to enter in any dollar amount, choose a recipient’s name and write a personalised message, before adding the customised gift card to their checkout where it can be sent directly to the recipient.
The Mi Piaci website also features a store locator, complete with Google maps, addresses, contact details and opening hours, an advanced promotions module which allows Mi Piaci to run complex promotions in line with their in store promotions and product merchandising such as an advanced zoom tool, a “You might also like” related products system and colour swatches and dropdowns which allows the users to view the product in its varying colours on clicking. Mi Piaci features has real time stock levels which improves customers online shopping experiences - as soon as in item goes out of stock it automatically disappears of the website, minimising customer frustrations when placing orders.
