Eretail Integration

What is integration?

Integration involves connecting your in-house information systems (i.e. Point of sale, accounts) with your website. Integrating these channels ensures that when information changes on your in house system your online system is automatically updated to reflect this information change, and vice versa.

What can be integrated?

Many of your in-house information systems can be integrated with your website such as Point of Sale (POS), Customer Relation Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Examples of the type of information that can be synchronised include customer details and purchase history, product/stock information and photos, and online orders.

Why should you integrate?

  • Accuracy – Because your in-house and online systems automatically update on change, there is no room for errors (misspelt data, lost orders, late dispatch etc.
  • Integration provides your business with “one source of truth”
  • Cost savings – Because integration ensures that both channels reflect the same information, you will have reduced customer queries, saving you both time and money.
  • Responsiveness – Having automated systems speeds up your response time, meaning processes such as order processing and dispatch are much quicker.
  • Customer experience – Customers will have better experiences with your webstore as information and processes will be accurate and fast, and they will not have to spend time making queries regarding things such as stock levels/availability.
  • Efficiency – Integration improves all round efficiency, speeding up processes and improving accuracy and reliability for both customers and staff.
